With all these youth programs I'm conducting I've visited a few book shops several times and came out with a conclusion that we need good children arabic books.
We still use those dull colors and drawings for illustrations and fancy writng.children's books are supposed to be redicously simple and straightforward with bright colors and eye catching illustrations.I found a few books ;which were AMAZING ;in obeican bookshop .They were all from the same publisher imarat or qira'at i can't recall which one .Beautiful colors and simple childesh stories with a moral.There problem was the price.So if a book is with forty something riyals ,it's not convenient for everyone to buy these good books which should be in the hands of children.
I am now abroad and I've bought some new children's books which are in english.the black book of colors,is a completely black book which lets a normal child imagine the colors to a blind one.Above the writing is a colleration with braile script .The illustration is also felt with the hands and at the end of the book you have a page with the letters and there braile correspondent.I was awed with this book .It truely deserves the prize it's author got.
From the UN center in Geneve I bought a children's book with comprehenting paintings on human rights,and a nother one which aims to bringing the concept of global warming and preserving the planet closer to children.ofcourse there is Queen Rania's ,The sandwich swap, on the difference in cultures.
An Egyptian writer mona which lives in lebanon did an amazing series on the five pillars of Islam for children's common questions called little moslems.I only found the last copy from one of the series' books in virgin mega stores cairo.
As you can see there is a nice movement in English children books toward widening horisons and opening eyes to new ideas and thoughts.I've seen writers which are trying to aproach that and I wish them luck,however,I wish we'de stop those tipical old children's books.It's time to bring our little ones back into the library and back to bedtime story.

يمكن أخذ دورات لتعلم لغة الصم و البكم عندهم ثم المساعدة في المركز أو تعليم الصم و البكم حرف كالكمبيوتر أو التطريز
the saudi organisation for the deaf,you can take sign langauge courses there then volunter with ur time in the center or teach the deaf some crafts ,or computer and so on
